Like the icy breath of winter the oath reaches past his lips down his throat.
Utter subordination remains. Kadavergehorsam.
Ash walks the temple that gave birth to him in a thousand battles.
Up to his heart he wades in blood and guts.
But soon it becomes the war of the nobles, and is no longer that for Christ.
The warrior of god retreats and loses his heart to a wordly angel,
so the Master Superior sends him away to a twilight of burning stakes
and blaspheming crucifixions of soulless creatures.
He feels unloved by Christ and mirrors himself in the condemned.
Ash leaves and loses the world in a nightmare, abundant freedom and unearthly bliss.
Heimataerde and the forbidden being
non nobis, domine, non nobis, sed nomine tuo da gloriam
Envisioned by DJ Ash, Heimataerde merges electronic dancefloor beats and soft,
often archaically instrumented melodies.
The music forms part of a tale which is told in the concept-albums.
Knight Templar Ashlar, desillusioned and seduced, leaves the ranks
of his bigot order and ventures on dark trails, l
ed by longing, despair and his own quest for „Heimataerde“.Will he die in order to live?
The music and Ash´s sinister journey are divided in chapters by a story
written by Pen Tell. The concept stretches to the visual level also.
The Albums are accompanied by a visual edge that interpretes the music
through its artwork and gives it a further dimension.
Leading character of Heimataerde and source of inspiration likewise,
is the vampiric Wiedergaenger, who leaves the beaten tracks in search of answers.
In this extreme condition he finds new aspects
and views of his former life with his brethren of the Temple.
But he still has not found new life, though he lost his old one.
In the shelter of Heimataerde
The mythical term is an uthopia actually, promising shelter for the Wiedergaenger
and providing means for his reincarnation. It is in the Heimataerde
where he rests in the daytime hours; it preserves him from decay
and hides him from the deceiving clarity of the light.
But his former comrades and the Master Superior claim the Heimataerde too,
and know of this weak spot of the traitor.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels,
but have not love,
I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have prophetic powers,
and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains,
but have not love,
I am nothing.
The eternal fight for Heimataerde
The Heimataerde is in the centre of the fight between good and evil.
Visions of power and light, without shade or mercy want to triumph
over mortal love and sin.Who can tell the right side, when the day of decision comes?
